Joan M. Beck, age 78, of Omro, passed away Thursday afternoon, February 28, 2019. She was born September 18, 1940, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Joseph and Hanna (Shick) Toshner. Joan attended schools in Oshkosh and was a graduate of Oshkosh High School. She married Kenneth “Dobber” Beck on September 12, 1964, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Oshkosh. Dobber passed away May 7, 2010. Joan had worked for many years and retired from F & M Bank in Omro. She enjoyed gardening, reading, going to the casino with family and friends and spending time with “The Ladies”.
Joan is loved and will missed by her daughter, Tracy (Vince) Galione of Winneconne; brother, James (Bonnie) Toshner of Sussex, WI; Uncle, Harold Toshner of Oshkosh ; sister in law, Beverly Beck of Omro; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother in law, Jerry Beck and sister in law, Peggy Spanbauer.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, March 4, 2019, at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. with Sr. Pam Biehl officiating.
