Obituary for Robert E Lewis

Robert(Bob) E. Lewis, age 81, of Eureka, Died peacefully at Evergreen Share Haven on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.
Bob was born in Eureka, Wisconsin on August 17, 1937. He was the son of Everett and Helen (Gehrke) Lewis. Bob was raised on the family farm on Bell School Road with brothers Wilbur and Armand, and sisters Janet and Darlene. He attended Omro Schools, where he graduated in 1956. Bob loved playing and watching baseball. He played baseball in high school and for Eureka Ball Park after he graduated. Bob served his country in the US Army / Army Reserves after high School. Bob met his wife Marion at a dance at the Oshkosh Eagles Club. He married the love of his life in Brandon on June 12, 1958. Together they operated a successful family dairy farm in Eureka.

Bob was a wonderful husband to Marion, a great dad to his children: Rocco (Kathy) Lewis, Mark (Cris) Lewis, Ann (Bill) Jensen, Joe (Julie) Lewis, and Amy (Larry) Raygo, Bob and Marion also considered Kenneth (Cheryl) Langfitt as a son. Bob has grandchildren: Jamie, Missy, T.J., Ashley, Tanya, Kelly, Brittini, Connor, Mason, Hope, Jenny, and 13 great grandchildren that he loves. Bob is also survived by his sister Darlene (Ron) Besaw, brothers-in law Bill King, Jack (Shirley) Tetzlaff, and Bill (Sue) Tetzlaff; sisters-in-law: Sandra Lewis, Christine Lewis, Margie (Roger) Langeberg, Ida (Dennis) Ziegler, Cindy (Gator) Broderick and Liann Tetzlaff,

Anyone who knew Bob remembers how he loved to joke around and play jokes on people. He had a great sense of humor. He was an avid Brewers and Packers fan. Bob also enjoyed taking the children swimming after chores, playing kick ball, and listening to Big Band music. Bob and Marion played cards and went to dances weekly from the first day they met. After they retired, they played cards Monday nights, went to the dances in Winneconne on Tuesday nights, Wednesday nights to dance in Oshkosh, Friday night dances in Fox Lake and Sunday dances in Markesan.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife Marion, and his son Mark,
parents Everett & Helen Lewis; sister, Janet King; brothers, Wilbur and Armand Lewis; brothers-in-law: Floyd Tetzlafft and George Tetzlaff; and sisters-in-law: Nelda and Linda Tetzlaff.

The family would like to thank the staff of ShareHaven at Evergreen compassion and excellent care, as well as the compassionate efforts of Generations Hospice.

In Lieu of flowers a memorial has been established. The family will greet relative and friends at Kwiatkowski Funeral Home Monday, January 7, 2019 at 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 pm. Bob will be laid to rest in the Eureka Cemetery.
