Obituary for David Lee "Cowboy" Hodges

David (Cowboy) Hodges
Our world lost a beautiful soul and calm loving spirit on April 28, 2018 with the passing of David L. Hodges to walk in the garden of love with his Lord and Savior. David was born to JB and Elsie Hodges in Tennessee, to which his wife Donna will take him home to their retirement dream. David is survived by siblings, Paula (Tom) Davis, Kathy (Curtis) Tadlock, and John (Amy) Abbott. David will be most remembered for the love of his family and children, Kerri (Ronny) Bridges, Jennifer (Bryan) Hunt, Laura (Red) Donnelly, Beverly Hodges, Cassandra (Justin) Elmergreen, Danielle (Anthony) Seaman, Ryan (Mandy) Hodges as well as many great-grand and grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. David was a very charismatic man with a love for his love/hate dog, Gordo, decadent chocolate and anything about the discovery and mysteries of Big Foot.

All are welcome to join our family in remembrance and celebration of life on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., service at 3:30 p.m., at the Omro funeral home.

Although David is gone from this earth, his philosophy of “we bend, we don’t break” lives on as a testament to his strength of character and loving support given to all in their times of struggle. He found great joy of being there for family and friends. The family wishes to thank Dr. Devermann and the staff of Aurora Hospital and Hospice for their special care given.
